Undeniably one of the greatest stadium rock bands in the world, Muse always push the visual spectacle of their shows to the limit. We were asked to create an epic machine to form the centrepiece of the stage design for a number of songs, complimenting a structural web of LED screens and fire belching chimneys. The entire reactor responds to the music – glowing, flashing, and sparking – the colours matching the mood of the songs. Animated lighting gives the machine depth and form, like a 3D virtual projection mapping piece. In addition to the reactor pieces, we created the visuals for Follow Me – borne from our previous work on the animated brain for the 2nd Law album release. With thanks to David Blair.
