It was great to be working with ELS again as we were tasked with providing visual effects for a new track by Clean Bandit & Topic (feat. Wes Nelson) – Drive. Director Dan Massie’s concept of a party truck accelerating into space required a number of both pre and post shoot elements. We created 360 degree projection plates to use during the shoot for lighting, virtual backgrounds and reflections on the cab. We then created a 3D truck – adapting an existing mesh to match the actual model of truck used – to create a number of hyperspace shots showing the truck’s journey through the stars. All in all, an extremely fun project to be a part of.
